A panoramic view can be obtained from the top of a 33 m high mine headframe which provides the stunning entrance to this, one of the best museums in regional Australia.
The collection is as spectacular as it is informative. From gold nuggets and jewellery to camel water tanks and wood stave pipes, the social and cultural history of the Goldfields is told in great detail.
