Lovers of wildflowers should not miss the memorial to Charles Gardner, the Government Botanist, which lies at the western entrance of Tammin. It is surrounded by 50 species of native wildflower.
The Charles Gardner Nature Reserve, which lies 16 km south of Tammin (take McLaren Street which also takes you to Tammin’s Hunt’s Well), is worth a visit when wildflowers are in bloom. Wildflowers are in bloom from mid/late July – November.
