Golden Pipeline Education
As part of its on-going commitment to quality education, the National Trust offers programs for all ages, K–12, tertiary and other interested groups.
Education programs fit within the guidelines set by the WA Curriculum Council and have been created for all phases of development. Links are made with and across the Curriculum Framework learning outcomes.
The Golden Pipeline offers the following opportunities for student learning through the history of the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme (GWSS).
- Visit No 1 Pump Station, Mundaring Weir, where students participate in workshops that link Society & Environment with Technology & Enterprise, The Arts, Mathematics and/or English. A Learning Centre on site allows for full or half day visits.
- Golden Pipeline resources that will assist with your background knowledge and classroom activities are available through the National Trust
- Professional development is available for teachers and educators to gain background knowledge to the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme. It can be offered on site at No 1 Pump Station or at a venue of your choice.
- Incursions and Outreach programs are available. National Trust education staff will deliver programs in your region or school. Contact us for further information.
